Coaching, Creativity, and Community
This week of art journaling has been the best for me so far. I added in using a few new mediums. Having fun with pasting pics and painting over. It has been a week of learning and using my journaling time to internalize and express what was going on for me each day.
At church on Sunday, the message was about Holy Spirit and how important it is to walk with and live in His presence. Learning to listen to Him and be open to and learn from Him. We need to learn to breathe in the Person and power of Holy Spirit; to breathe out the things we need to get rid of and breathe in the gifts of the Spirit.
This was just done with acrylic paint and the words on top with Copic markers.
Another evening I spent time in meditation with the Lord and felt Him say to me to just sit right where I am and to stay there until He tells me to move. I was sitting looking out over the ocean, a vast expanse as far as the eye could see. Waves would come and I felt like getting up and running away but I was told to just sit. The water was beautiful and inviting and I wanted to get up and jump in, but I was told to sit. To sit, observe, learn and soak in everything around me and about the area’s I’m learning in right now.
I cut out a pic from a magazine of this girl and used scrapbooking picture take to attach it into my journal, then I painted over it all, leaving her just plain black and white. This pic didn’t stay stuck down as well as I wanted, you can see it lifting, going to try using a glue stick next time.
I was having a bad day one day last week, so I woke up in the morning and created this. I titled it “It’s a brand new day!” I pasted designed scrapbooking paper on the bottom and then painted in the sky. Used stamp for the butterfly and stencil for the big happy yellow flowers.
This definitely brightened up my day and doing this creating everyday brightens up my whole week!
