Art Journaling – Week Sixteen

Last week started with doing another dream collage. This is always such a great experience and it is interesting how the perfect pics appear, standing out and needing to be part of the collage. It has been a couple months since the last time I created this type of collage and it turned out very different this time. This time seemed more personal, not as focused on my career/professional goals and more on the immediate details and issues I need to focus on.

Still adjusting and transitioning in my new life and family, I have recently been focusing on the house and figuring out how to make it feel more like home. Sure, we can add some pictures and paint and move things around, but I am not convinced this will help. What I learned from this collage is that I need to relax and enjoy this time and space I’m in right now. I spend way too much time thinking in the future and always planning. Not that planning is a bad thing but balance in all things is important. Living fully in this very moment, trusting that everything is working out perfectly, and that yes, I need to work on small steps toward my goals, then, let go and trust and enjoy life.
