Coaching, Creativity, and Community
Well… summer has hit and everything else has stopped for the summer, so time should be plentiful for getting creative and writing posts, however… two weeks has past and I feel like I have very little to share.
The Painting Marathon is happening and I am enjoying it tremendously. So much fun to paint and have the freedom and space to make mistakes and just plain have fun with brush strokes and colour mixing. No better way to learn and improve than to jump right in and do it. The painting above of the happy tree is the first prompt in the Painting Marathon. It is not too late to join in the fun, register here: http://tinyurl.com/k5krp3s
I have still been thinking about angels and wanting an outline of one (or more) that I really love. To make that happen I will need to spend more time trying to create it. I have this beautiful angel ornament that I tried to sketch, which was good to do but it didn’t turn out as I was hoping, just not the image I have in my mind. I will keep trying.
Below has been my focus lately. This was a quick drawing but represents such a powerful message for me that I know I need to take this and make a larger painting out of it somehow.
Now… to not get washed away with all the summer fun that my art journal doesn’t get the attention it deserves.
