“Aromatherapy can be described as the art and science of utilizing naturally extracted aromatic essences from plants to balance, harmonize and promote health of the body, mind and spirit.” Colleen Thompson
Creator’s Corner is now creating using essential oils. Over the past two years I have been learning about essential oils and loving them more and more, everyday. I am now in the process of achieving certification in Aromatherapy.
It just came naturally to begin making products using the essential oils (EO’s). The first important point to make is that not all EO’s are of the same quality, and so it is important to do research into the company you are purchasing the oils from to be sure they are 100% pure essential oil, and organic is even better. Do not be fooled by the term “therapeutic grade.” This term was created by clever marketing, as there is no overseeing body or organization regulating the essential oil industry.
I purchase my oils from different sources, looking for the best quality product, at the best possible price; so I can pass that savings onto you. Fortunately, as an aromatherapy student, I have access to the best quality oils in Canada. When I first began shopping for essential oils, I was blown away at the prices, so expensive, as was anything that was made with these oils. Being frugal minded, this began my quest to learn more and hopefully save money and still get to use quality products, with the highest therapeutic properties. After all, the whole point is to benefit from the therapeutic qualities of the essential oils . I always choose organic or wild, when available. It is also important to me to shop local, and I have found high quality products and EO’s from local Canadian and even British Columbian sources.
I will be unveiling each product as it is developed and perfected and ready for you to enjoy. Right now, I have blends created in 10ml roll on bottles and diluted with a carrier oil (organic coconut and jojoba oil) ready to be used on your skin; or just the pure essential oils blended together in 5ml bottles, these can be used in your diffuser. Check out the product page for more information.
